DISTRICT MINERAL FOUNDATION — PMKKKY MOBILE APPLICATION
This policy explains what information the DMF mobile application collects, why it's collected, and how it's protected while you register, track PMKKKY-funded projects, submit geo-tagged field updates, and monitor scheme implementation.
Mining brings wealth to a region and to the nation, but for decades the communities living closest to the mines saw little of that prosperity reach their doorstep. In 2015, an amendment to the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act established the District Mineral Foundation (DMF), a non-profit trust set up in every major mining district, and the Government launched the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) to give it a clear direction and framework.
Today, DMF is active across 656 districts in 23 states, working in health, education, drinking water, livelihood, and infrastructure, with plans built around what each community actually needs. The DMF Mobile Application supports this effort by enabling registration, project tracking, geo-tagged field monitoring, and reporting on PMKKKY-funded works in High and Other Priority sectors, in line with the Aspirational DMF Programme.
